About Jerry McGuire

Mr. McGuire received his B.A. from Wesleyan University (English and Linguistics) in 1976, and his Ph.D. from SUNY at Buffalo (English/Poetics) in 1981. He has published his poetry in many periodicals and in two books, The Flagpole Dance and Vulgar Exhibitions. His scholarly work includes publications about Shakespeare, literary theory, poetics, pedagogy, postcolonial studies, and film. He co-edited (with Kostas Myrsiades) Order and Partialities: Theory, Pedagogy, and the “Postcolonial.” He currently teaches at the University of Louisiana in Lafayette.
