About Denise Rogers

Ms. Rogers received the M.F.A. from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. She currently teaches composition, literature, and humanities courses at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. Her poems have appeared in Louisiana Literature, The Alaska Quarterly Review, Borderlands: The Texas Poetry Review, Ekphrasis, The Mid-America Poetry Review, and Xavier Review, among others. In 2000, She was the recipient of an Artist's Fellowship from the Louisiana Division of the Arts. In 2004, her poem "Snow Falling on Small Town" won the Louisiana Literature Poetry Prize. Her first book, The Scholar's Daughter, was published by Louisiana Literature Press in 2008.
