About Patricia A. Ward

A native of New Orleans, Patricia A. Ward did her undergraduate studies at Southern University at New Orleans and her M.F.A. in Creative Writing at the University of New Orleans. While a teacher at Eleanor McMAin Magnet Secondary School, she traveled to West Africa as a Fulbright-Hays scholar. Her poems have appeared in the anthology A Bend in the River and the journals Ellipsis and Xavier Review.
