About Lana Maht Wiggins

Lana Maht Wiggins earned a Master of Arts degree in Creative Writing from the University of Louisiana Lafayette in 2001. She is the author of Notes from Refuge (Plain View Press 2008) which is her first full-length book of poetry. Wiggins is a native of south Louisiana, and has been published in The Southwestern Review, Knock, Moondance, Dance to Death, Words-Myth , and The Smoking Poet. Wiggins was a finalist in the 2006 Marsh Hawk Press Poetry competition, and the guest poet/lecturer at the 3rd annual Encres de Sang International Writer's Conference in Paris, France in 2008. She currently teaches at the University of Louisiana.
