nineteen

crayons were a start
horses gave me an education
as did the belly-buttons
I discovered as a child
that’s why the ferris wheel can
become a bicycle if it wants to
ah the ewe of possibilities
direct premonitions
this morning a patch of dense sunlight
is opening up the floor
I have a vertical memory
and like the dancing cartoon I am
it stands from head to toe
